Purchases / Sales of TES, Foreign Exchange, and TES Portfolio Holdings by Banco de la República

• Banco de la República (the Central Bank of Colombia, BanRep) hereby informs that in March 2021 it made outright sales of TES B in the secondary market for $3,192.8 billion (value at market prices). As requested by the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, on 31 March, BanRep transferred TES from its monetary portfolio to the Ministry for $3,506.2 b (value at market prices) as a partial payment of the Bank’s profit in 2020.

At the end of March 2021, the outstanding balance of TES held by BanRep was $13,342.8 b (value at market prices).

The TES portfolio of BanRep (expressed in nominal terms) is composed of peso-denominated TES (COP $10,826.0 b) and UVR-denominated TES (UVR 5.5 b).

In April 2021, none of the TES B held by BanRep expires.

• Regarding the foreign exchange market, in March 2021, BanRep did not purchase or sell foreign currencies. Also, BanRep did not renew the Non-Delivery Forward contracts.
