Banco de la República (the Central Bank of Colombia) adopts the recommendations given to prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Banco de la República, following the decisions of the National Government, hereby informs that:

Treasury Services

• Cash services will be provided normally at the Cash Center, the treasury office at Calle 13, and branch offices.

Cultural Activity

• Starting from 14th March to 30th April 2020, the cultural spaces throughout the country will be closed. This measure applies to the Gold Museum, the Luis Ángel Arango Library and its event center, Casa Republicana, Casa Gómez Campuzano, the Miguel Urrutia Art Museum (MAMU), the Botero Museum, and Casa de Moneda in Bogotá, as well as to all the Cultural Centers in the 28 cities of the country where the Bank has branch offices. During this period, online activities related to the collections and cultural services will be offered by the Bank, but there will be no activities taking place in physical spaces.

• Users who currently have borrowed books must return them on their due date at the library book drops.

• All economic education activities planned throughout the country are canceled, including visits to the Interactive Monetary Exhibition and workshops at and outside branch offices.
